Dreaming of a life filled with practical natural stone items

Hello.
This is junono.
I dream of living surrounded by natural stone.
With this in mind, this time I looked for practical natural stone items that can be used in everyday life, other than accessories.
Here are some of the items I found.
First, start researching online.
Next, we went to a natural stone shop in Paris, France.
Finally, we headed to the Louvre, where the treasures lie.
We searched a wide range of items, from those we use today to those that were likely used by royalty, aristocrats, and the upper classes of the past.
Practical natural stone products that add color to modern life
First, start surfing the internet.
I'll start by looking for something close to home.

A jade roller symbolizes beauty and longevity.
A beauty massage tool that is rolled over the face.
Even just leaving it there, the deep green luster is beautiful and it has a strong presence.
Your daily skincare routine will become a little more special.

Marble chess set.
At this size, marble may be more practical than gemstones in terms of resources and price.

A very bold and luxurious washbasin made from a large block of marble.
The washbasin is actually made by hollowing out the sink.
I was looking for some jewelry accessories for my bathroom and this sink caught my eye.
I feel happy every time I wash my hands here.
I was looking for small items, but before I knew it, I was thinking more towards remodeling.
So, I stopped my online search for now and visited a mineral shop in Paris.
The shop not only had accessories and raw stones, but also some practical items made with gemstones.

Paperweights made from a variety of natural stones.
The pyramid shape is said to collect, release, and circulate energy.
A paperweight looks beautiful just by placing it on your desk.
This is a classic practical piece of jewelry that can be enjoyed by using and displaying.

Rock crystal and obsidian magnets.
It blended in well with the grey board, creating a sophisticated atmosphere.
It makes the space look much more stylish.

On the left is a Himalayan pink salt lamp.
The soft light of pale pink and orange creates a calming atmosphere.
On the right is a selenite lamp.
The tower-like carved shape and fibrous luster are striking.
It was lit with a soft milky white light.
The light that shines through natural stone seems to have a mysterious power to soothe the soul.

On the top left is a solitaire made with a rock crystal ball and a marquetry board.
Below is a candle holder carved out of an amethyst geode.

Wow, what a gorgeous table!
The large amethyst geode weighs more than two adults, and the presence of the rock crystal contained within it is also impressive.
It feels like the energy of the earth is overflowing.
If you look closely, you'll see that the table legs were custom made to fit this shape.
It's truly a breathtaking table.
Practical natural stone items that enriched life in the past
Finally, we went to the Louvre.
Whenever I'm looking for something artistic, I always find something that speaks to my heart here.
The museum displays many practical jewellery items that were loved by royalty, aristocrats and members of the upper class.

The jade Naef in the center of the top row and the rock crystal Naef in the center of the bottom row.
A Naef is a table ornament in the shape of a boat.
They were not just used as decorations, but also as containers for spices and medicinal herbs.
Those with lids were also used as personal storage containers for small items or cutlery.
The rock crystal glass on the bottom left also has the same design as the NEF, making them look even more luxurious when placed side by side.

A large agate plate decorated with agate intaglio (sunken carving technique) and rubies.
It seems that many of these dishes were made for decorative or display purposes, but they were also sometimes used to hold fruit or spices.
If you place a split pomegranate on this platter, the ruby-like bright shine of the fruit and the deep agate-like color of the skin will look great together.

Aventurine box.
Since the Renaissance, these small boxes have been used to store perfumes, perfume bottles, jewellery and other items.
It seems to have been popular as a gift as well.

The beautiful and colorful jeweled tableware caught my eye one after the other.
Agate shell-shaped cups, monkey-shaped cups with lids, dragon pitchers made of malachite and rock crystal...
There are even stylish jade cups with handles in different colors.
This would go well with matcha ice cream...
Such imaginations run wild.
So, although this was only a small introduction, we discovered that there are actually a surprising number of practical items made from natural stone.
Some of these items may be difficult to obtain, but you can still enjoy living surrounded by your favorite natural stone items.
See you next time.
