[Moon Lady Amethyst] Mother-of-pearl, white onyx, and pink amethyst ring

Admonished by the Moon Goddess, Bacchus, the god of wine, incited wild beasts to attack Amethyst, the moon's consort, in order to demonstrate his power. The Moon Goddess noticed this tragedy and transformed Amethyst into crystal. Upon seeing the stone, Bacchus regretted his sin and poured wine over it, which instantly transformed the crystal into a clear purple, becoming the beautiful purple gemstone Amethyst.
